Our croupiers are true professionals, specially selected, not just for their expertise and appearance, but for the ability to make your guests feel comfortable and will encourage everyone to get started and keep the fun moving along.

How can we raise funds with a fun casino?

Firstly you decide if you are going to sell tickets to the fun casino evening and carefully take into account the set up costs of hiring the fun casino and hire of the venue and other costs to stage the evening.

Approach local companies to sponsor each of the fun casino tables that you hire either in full or in part,
Tables cost £175.00-£225.00 per table

You then sell tickets to the fun casino night and ticket sales should cover costs and your club or chosen charity should now be in profit before the 1st card is dealt.

Your invited guests then purchase the fun money from members of the club appointed to be in charge of the casinos bank for the evening. Your guests now purchase the fun money to play the casino tables for e.g. £10.00 in cash buys your guest $100 in fun money which they then exchange with the croupier for chips to play the tables.

Fun casinos are a very popular way of raising funds so prior to the night of the fun casino tables we need to look very carefully at the number of tickets sold and from my experience of the fun casino industry and raising funds decide if the number of tables booked will be enough to accommodate the number of tickets you have sold and the number of guests you are expecting to be entertained with the fun casino tables. We need to avoid the situation where we have sold so much fun money players will be unable to play the tables because of their popularity. I can also advise you prior to the night if we have sold an exact number of tickets in advance the number of tables required to accommodate the number of guests we are expecting to entertain.

Fun Casino HireWe also need to take into consideration on the night the value of the chips your guests will receive with their fun money because we do not want to give your guests 100 $1 chips to accommodate 200 guests with only 2 fun casino tables. I can advise you very carefully on the ideal options to take prior to selling the fun money to your guests, even better if we know the exact number of guests attending and I can make up the personalised fun money to the exact value before it is sold. An ideal way to sell the fun money is to set up a bank upon entrance to your chosen venue or if your invited guests are sitting down to dinner sell the fun money after the initial course, in both these options we will have the opportunity to sell fun money to each and every guests who would like to try their luck at the fun casino tables. Avoid giving your guests free chips to begin play or simply give them 1 or 2 chips for the first free bet.

Again from experience it is very difficult to sell fun money after dinner has concluded and your guests are taking part in other forms of entertainment booked to entertain them on the night.

Also make sure your guests are aware that they are welcome to purchase additional fun money if their luck runs out at the tables and have a banker on hand close to the tables to sell further notes.

The croupiers or the casino manager will never accept cash over the tables this must be sold by a member of the fundraising committee or charitable organisation.

The tables are then opened and the fun begins, the croupiers will deal the requested games and teach your guests the rules of play, prizes are then awarded to the guests who have the most chips at the end of play. Prizes can be purchased from ticket sales but even better sponsored or donated from local companies and businesses that support your organisation.

I recently picked up another fantastic fund-raising idea at a fun casino i recently presented. The fun casino is open for 3 hours and every half an hour raffle tickets are sold numbered 1 through to 37 the total amount of numbers on the roulette wheel every half an hour we announce the next spin on the roulette wheel is for the raffle prize. The roulette wheel is spun and a prize is awarded to the lucky ticket holder the roulette ball falls in. If your event has attracted a large number of guests the raffle tickets could even be sold twice to raise additional funds. If the ball lands in zero the prizes could be rolled over to the next spin. One of my customers recently took up my idea to run the roulette raffle and sold each ticket for £5.00, they only sold the roulette raffle once but sold all of the tickets 1-37 easily and half of all the money taken by the sale of the 37 numbers was given away as a prize. “The winner walked away with £92.50. You may choose to run the roulette raffle 2 - 3 times throughout the night or even every half an hour.

Example

The roulette raffle will take place every half an hour. 37 @ £1 = £37.00

6 Spins at £37.00 = £222.00 less cost of prizes and I would suggest a prize of a bottle of wine is awarded to the lucky ticket holder, if we assume the cost of the bottle of wine is no more than £5.00 a further £192.00 could be raised on the night.

Example 2

The roulette raffle will take place every hour. 37 @ £5 = £185

3 spins at £185.00 = £555 less 50% to be paid out in prize money to the lucky ticket holder. The total amount raised from the roulette raffle will be £277.50.

You may even choose to sell the roulette raffle 6 times at £5.00 further increasing the profits to be gained on the night and especially if you have sold 150+ tickets to the fund-raising casino.

A programme for the fun casino event can also be designed and handed out to your guests upon arrival and you’re sponsors names can be included along with the rules of the casino tables hired and how fun money is purchased and an explanation of fund-raising activities taking place on the night for e.g. The roulette raffle, silent auction, sale of memorabilia etc etc. I can forward to you a copy of a recent successful casino fundraising programme along with income and expenditure and most importantly profits gained on the night

A Fantastic New Fundraising Ideas

I have recently picked up another fantastic fund-raising idea from a race night i presented recently. Clubs, organisations and charities can easily set up their own web for the charity or organisation they are raising funds for. The website is www.justgiving.co.uk. Please visit the website and set up your own fundraising page for your club, organisation or charity. When completed this will allow members of your family and friends who are unable to attend your fund-raising event the opportunity to make a donation to your club, organisation or charity. You may also receive donations from work colleagues, past members and even anonymous individuals who would like to make a donation to your organisation from anywhere throughout the UK or even throughout the world.

The charity also claims gift aid from the government, so if a donation of £10.00 is made through www.justgiving.co.uk the government will add in the region of £2.00 to the £10.00 donation, further increasing the profits you make prior to, during and even after the fund-raising event. Gift aid from the government increases the more you are donated from individuals.

Go on log into www.justgiving.co.uk and set up a fund-raising page for your charity, every little helps. The race night i recently presented in Shrewsbury was to raise money by a group of young adults for 3 charities including a local hospice in Shrewsbury, a hospice in Glasgow and Help the Heroes by cycling from Shrewsbury to Paris.

When i arrived to set up donations before the 1st race was shown had reached a sum of £540.00 for the 3 charities ( variable amounts for each charity ) exactly a week later i visited www.justgiving.co.uk and was astonished to find out the amount of money now stands at £1,428.50p add this total to the amount we raised on the night the figure has now reached towards £2,500.00 and growing all of the time. I was amazed.

Take a look at the following web pages www.justgiving.co.uk/wheeldoitforcharity www.justgiving.co.uk/wheeldoitforcharity1 and finally www.justgiving.co.uk/wheeldoitforcharity2

I have just checked the total amount now raised the sum has now increased and totals £1,648.50p an increase of £220.00 over the past 3 days.

The cycle ride will take place on Wednesday 19th August. The final raised fugure will be announced 2 weeks after the completion of the event.

Its an absolutely fantastic fundraising opportunity and initiative COME ON GIVE IT A GO and visit www.justgiving.co.uk and set up your fundraising page for your fundraising fun casino or race night.
